I had this dream a couple of nights ago and it was just so good

I was walking down Oxford Street feeling hassled, when I noticed a door I’d never spotted before tucked between two shops! It was headed ‘Nerdfighter Library’. Despite never having been particularly involved or interested in the Nerdfighter movement, I decided to take a looksee.

It was… beautiful.

There were books and computers and DVDs and video games, and the building was amazing and huge and sprawling and there were little bridges from one genre of book to another, and an indoor garden, and tons and tons of people all safe from the real world and real responsibilities, like they had colonised a peaceful section of the Internet for themselves! I hung out with some of them and it was shockingly unstressful!

In the dream I remember being vaguely aware I was asleep and dreaming, and deciding to make it last for as long as possible, because it was just so nice. It was so nice.

So basically if anybody finds a Diagon Alley-style library in Central London, you heard it here first, and let me know so I can grab my sleeping bag and move back in, OK
