Why everybody’s wearing those metal eye-patches:

There’s a picture of a Silent / the Silence on the inside which is how Mad Eyepatch Woman and her associates are able to cooperate with them without forgetting; the TARDIS crew work this out, decide it’s a good idea, and don the patches themselves

There we go, mystery solved*

*mystery may not actually be solved, theory may not be based in facts or evidence

I also love the Doctor’s initial kneejerk response to having got himself and Craig teleported somewhere unpleasant

“oh okay okay right yes all right I need to keep everybody calm I need to calm this situation down I need a distraction umm… wait yes perfect solution - I will SEDUCE CRAIG”

on a less pathetic and clingy note

I was so excited about Cybermats

CYBERMATS

Another thing I’m suspicious of from the last episode (spoilers!)

(Perhaps demonstrating the mindset the Moffat-era has put me in)

"You know when, sometimes you meet someone so beautiful, and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later, they’re as dull as a brick? Then there’s other people, and you meet them and you think, ‘Not bad; they’re okay.’ And then you get to know them, and their face sort of becomes them, like their personality is written all over it. And they just turn into something so beautiful. Rory’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever met."

I really liked yesterday’s DW but I have some valid questions which I thought would be addressed at some point but were not and now I’m wondering if they’re a plot point or what

So spoilers, basically

I’m trying a read-more cut but of course they don’t always work properly so WATCH OUT

 • HOW did Amy learn all of that stuff?
 • You can’t just make a sonic screwdriver by trial and error in under 40 years
 • You can’t learn to hack into something just by trying your best, surely
 • Amy’s not stupid, but I doubt that she knows enough about either of those things to have worked it all out entirely on her own
 • There would have been no one to help her and I saw no mention of a library or a research source she could’ve used
 • Is it timey-wimey, maybe? Should we have picked up on it?
 • I dunno
 • I’m just puzzled

Just sayin’.

She was pretty made-up for somebody who was asleep.

Just sayin’.

There is so much Fivey and Eleven on my dash lately, this was kind of inevitable! …Well no, it wasn’t. There’s really no logical explanation.
